GreenGeeks Will Donate $1 for every new customer in 2010
Although normally fiercely competitive, as members of the hosting community we know that the power we wield as a group is much more than we can wield individually. And so we've come together to help assist those affected by this disaster. With the generosity of all our combined customers, we hope to make a difference. And you can too. One dollar helps. One hundred dollars helps one hundred times more.
Desperation is a word commonly used by many of us in times in our lives that seem bleak but true desperation is something that we've been seeing in the news regarding the absolute devastation of Haiti.
The images are haunting; the living trapped in crushed buildings their arms flailing for help, the dead lying by the hundreds in the streets, makeshift medical centers treating thousands of wounded with primitive tools and limited medical supplies, and hardly any food or water.
This is desperation.
By the time you are reading this those images have been replaced by others. Images of the world coming to the aid of the Haitians and their impoverished and destroyed country. It won't be easy to forget those horrific images but now we must concentrate on aiding the Haitian people as they work to regain a foothold in life.
Our humanity mandates that we do what we can to relieve some of this desperation to somehow give the Haitians a leg up and a helping hand as they work to reconstruct their lives.
We understand that Haiti has a long hard road ahead, therefore GreenGeeks will commit for the entire 2010 year to do what we can to help the Haitian people. We will donate $1 for every new customer in 2010 to the relief efforts of the Red Cross in Haiti.
