Drupal Installation Overview
Drupal is an opensource CMS (content
management system). Like many CMS applications, Drupal is modular,
meaning that you can add and remove features such as forums, user
profiles and comments. GreenGeeks offers a very easy installation of
Drupal through a cPanel item called "Fantastico De Luxe."
To get started, log into your cPanel
(Control Panel). Then go into the “Find” box on the left. Type in “fan”
and almost immediately the “Fantastico De Luxe” icon should appear in
the Software/Services section. Alternatively you can choose to scroll
down to the bottom where the Software/Services section resides.
Fantastico will launch. Then you are provided with a list of programs you can install.
Navigate to the "Content Management"
section and press "Drupal." After doing so, you will be presented with
an installation screen.
1) If you have more than one domain, choose one.
2) Choose an installation directory (ex: drupal)
3) Choose an administrator user name and administrative email.
Fantastico will notify you if there
is any problems in Step 2. If no problems exist, then press "Finish
Installation" to complete the setup.
