So you've purchased a Reseller account and you're not sure what to do next?
This guide is designed to introduce you to WHM (or WebHost Manager) and familiarize yourself with all of its functionality.
WHM
was created by the same folks who brought you cPanel, and its just as
easy to use, once you get accustomed to it. cPanel and WHM tie in very
closely with one another, allowing easy access to many aspects of
cPanel on all of the accounts.
WHM's
main goal is to make managing a group of websites easy and simple. Its
functions include: creating new accounts, view various statistics about
the sites on your account, suspending and deleting accounts, and to
allow customization of features for your customers (assuming reselling
accounts to other customers is your goal). It's reliable, time-tested
(it's been around since 1999), powerful and secure, which is why many
companies use it for their reseller accounts.
On
the left (when you log in) is a list of options you will use to manage
your sites, and the options can seem overwhelming, but only until you
learn them. Some you'll use frequently, others not often at all.
In the chapters to follow, you'll learn the basics of how to use WHM and get started with your business.
