Want to install an SSL on your website in just one click? Remember, you can purchase an SSL Certificate From GreenGeeks and we will install it for you. You will not have to follow these steps bellow if you purchase an SSL from GreenGeeks and your website is hosted with GreenGeeks!

In order to have an SSL certificate issued at a third party other than GreenGeeks, you need to first generate a KEY and CSR. You will then need to provide the SSL certificate issuer with the CSR to obtain your SSL certificate (known as the CERT or CRT).

Step 1: Login to cPanel

Navigate to the GreenGeeks Account Manager and click on the cPanel Login button.

Step 2: Open the SSL/TLS Manager

Under the “Security” heading, click on the “SSL/TLS Manager”.

Step 3: Open “Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.”

Step 4: Enter form information

Select “Generate New Key” and fill out the required information. Click “Generate” at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: Copy the CSR

Your CSR will generate on the next page. You may copy this code and provide it to your SSL issuer. Once you have been issued a Certificate (CERT/CRT) open a ticket from within your Account Manager with the CERT either attached or in the body of the e-mail and our engineers will install it for you.

** Note: In order for a dedicated SSL certificate to function, you will need a dedicated IP address. For more information, please see: How can I get a dedicated IP for my account?
