How to Change the Background Color of the WordPress Editor

Are you looking for a way to change the background color of the WordPress editor? All of the content you create on WordPress is done through the WordPress editor. The WordPress editor actually consists of two editors in one, the visual editor and the text editor. The visual editor is more user-friendly for beginners, while the text editor allows experienced web developers to work faster.

In fact, more experienced web developers will actually disable the visual editor completely. Regardless of which editor you use, you can customize the editor in WordPress to meet your needs. Today, I will demonstrate how to change the background color of the WordPress editor with the Editor Wysiwyg Background Color plugin.

Why Change the Background Color of the WordPress Editor

Whenever you add a feature into WordPress, it is important to ask yourself what the feature will do. In this case, absolutely nothing. There is no real advantage to changing the editor background color. It is purely the content creator’s preference. While there is no real advantage, there may still be some reasons to do it.

If your website uses a specific background color, changing the editor background to that same color can help you make sure everything is clear. For example, let’s say you want to create a post that has a holiday color as the background. You may need to change the text color to get better results. Alternatively, you can use the preview button, but this method allows you to do it on the same page.
